Peter Seymour lecuturing second year Architecture students November 2023

SETU’s Department of Architecture and Built Environment was delighted to welcome Peter Seymour from EcoReview who gave a lecture to 2nd Year Architecture students at the Granary campus in Waterford on 20 November.

In his lecture, Peter explained the concepts of LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) in construction industries, and EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations), as part of the students’ ongoing learnings around climate change adapting design, by reviewing their building material preferences against sourcing, possible re-use and carbon footprint.

Peter’s lecture was part of a seminar series “”Resilient Design”” linked to studio which has been newly implemented into SETU’s B.Arch programme.

Peter is Partner and Ireland Manager of EcoReview, which provides sustainability consultancy services.
