SABRE Research Centre members, John Wall and Ann Fripps, recently presented at the Oracle Academy Summit 2026, a landmark international event that brought together educators, academic leaders and Oracle experts to explore innovative approaches to teaching and learning using Oracle technologies.

The summit showcased the latest Oracle Academy resources and highlighted examples of best practice from institutions around the world that are integrating industry-standard technologies into their curricula.

As part of the programme, John and Ann delivered a webinar entitled “Primavera for Project-Based Learning”, demonstrating how Oracle Primavera is used within teaching and learning at SETU. Their presentation explored the role of Primavera in supporting project-based learning and helping students develop practical project management skills that are directly relevant to industry.

Oracle Primavera provides comprehensive tools for full lifecycle project management. The latest platform, Oracle Primavera Cloud, is a fully integrated Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution that combines project planning, portfolio management, capital planning and field task management within a single modern environment. During the webinar, John and Ann outlined how these capabilities are introduced within the classroom setting and how students engage with project management concepts through the software, whilst clarifying key terminology in a education setting.

A recording of the webinar will be made available shortly.
